First Grade

Our private First Grade allows students to be in a smaller setting. The planned curriculum for this age group challenges students to learn more and build on skills introduced in kindergarten. They will expand on the core concepts of math, reading, writing, and science skills they learned in kindergarten. First graders will still have fun, while our teacher keeps learning engaging. As first graders they will start developing skills to reason and think logically. They will begin to make their own decisions. They will learn to have a better sense of time and schedules and be able to read without sounding words out and add and subtract fluently.
